Jason Segel feat. Swell Season, No Special Effects

Last night, Jason Segel got on stage during Swell Season’s LA show and performed a song he wrote himself. (If you’ll recall, Segel wrote actually wrote all the music for the Dracula puppet musical in Forgetting Sarah Marshall.) It’s nothing short of hilarious and the best thing you will see today. (via)

crumbler: The studio version from the band’s forthcoming follow-up is a bit more vibrant than the live videos made it seem. And is it just me, or do you always forget how much you want to make out with Ezra Koenig?

As usual, I agree with Crumbler completely. I would add that this song is just the right mix of expanding their signature sound without abandoning it. Oh, and I don’t want to make out with Ezra Koenig. Don’t get me wrong - he’s a good looking guy. But he looks like the kind of boy you would meet while on vacation in the Hamptons who would make out with you one night and then the next night you’d catch him feeling up some girl named Lacy behind a boathouse.

I know absolutely nothing about Levek. But I do know that this a cappella cover of my personal favorite song off Horn of Plenty is spot on. And this weird Disney film that they set it to is a terrific choice. (via)
